Acetic acid is a natural, organic acid that is found in vinegar and other food products. When applied to weeds, acetic acid causes the plant tissue to dry out and die. Acetic acid based weed killer is often used as an alternative to chemical herbicides, as it is considered to be more environmentally friendly and safe to use.
