How To Clean a Patio?

Pressure washing is a great way to remove dirt from the surface of your patio. Pressure washing may even remove green algae and it may look clean but what you cannot see is the millions of algae spores left behind that quickly regrow on your patio.

Black spot cannot be removed by pressure washing, it attaches its self to the surface and the only way to remove black spot from your patio is by using a product like Instant Clean.
Instant Clean when applied to your patio attaches its self to the black spot and oxidises them and lifts them from the surface. Instant Clean not only kills and removes the black spot it also kills all black spot spores and makes your patio stone not a nice environment for them to grow, therefore your patio will stay clean for longer.

Step One Use a pressure washer to remove loose dirt and debris, you want to set your pressure washer nozzle so it's a wide jet of water. If you use the most powerful nozzle setting so the water comes out fast in a thin line it could remove your grouting from the patio joints, and by cleaning on this setting you clean in very thin lines which makes cleaning your patio a very time consuming task and can make your patio look stripy on the bits missed.
Remember you only need to remove the dirt and loose debris with your pressure washer and let  Instant Clean  do all the hard work.
Don't worry if you don't have a pressure washer just simply use a brush or a hose to remove loose debris from your patio then go to step two.

Step Two Once all the loose debris is removed simply apply Instant Clean to your patio via a pump up sprayer, watering can or brush and bucket. There is no need to scrub the product into the surface, simply wet the whole surface with Instant Clean and let it do its magic.
Within one hour Instant Clean will have oxidised and no longer active, all that will be left is salty water which is not a danger to people, pets, plants or grass.

Step Three Rinse off with a hose pipe, it can be rinsed into grass, flower beds, gravel or down a grey waste drain and cause no damage.

Useful tip, if you want to keep your patio black spot and algae free either repeat this process every year or for an easier way, simply use Shark Stay Clean.

Simply spray on and leave, no need to rinse. If you use Stay Clean once a year you will never see green algae or black spot on your patio ever again.
