Preparation
1. Before any application of the tarmac restorer, ensure the surface is thoroughly cleaned and loose stones are swept away.
2. Clean the tarmac by jet washing on a reduced pressure setting to avoid damage to the tarmac surface.
3. If algae or moss is present, a pre-treatment with Shark Tarmac Cleaner is advised.
Application Guidelines
1. Apply product to a clean, dry tarmac surface with temperatures above 8 degrees and ensure no rain is forecast for at least 3 hours after the application process has finished.
2. For best results it is advisable to use a extension handled roller kit with a medium pile head. A soft broom or paint brush can be used for borders or hard to get to areas, but generally a roller kit is best.
3. Dependent on the surface Resimac is designed to be a one coat application, however two coats could be applied if required. Average coverage ratios are 40-80sqm per 20 ltr drum (80 sqm if the tarmac is in good condition but has lost colour and faded over time 40 sqm for poorer quality tarmac surfaces).
4. Prior to commencing application thoroughly stir the tarmac restorer. This will ensure the pigment and the slip enhancing additive within the product are mixed thoroughly and not settled at the bottom of the container.
5. Areas adjacent to neighbours driveways, flower beds or lawns should be masked off with tape, or planks of wood to avoid un-wanted coverage.
6. After application keep vehicles and foot traffic of the tarmac until completely dry.
